 Escape to the peace of Wiltshire with our large holiday home nestled amidst breath taking bluebell woods. Pinetree is the perfect destination for your family holidays, friends’ reunions and short weekend breaks.

This idyllic retreat boasts four bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 10 guests, with an additional double sofa bed to cater for group of 12 and there is also baby’cot in the one bedroom.

The dining and sitting rooms effortlessly accommodate 12 guests and the spacious kitchen at the heart of the house ensures no cook is left alone.
You can unwind with game of pool, play our rickety old piano, relax in the toy and films area or catch up on work in the office area. Then enjoy BBQs and games on the back lawn surrounded by woods. Pinetree adapts to all. This is haven of serenity, joy and tranquillity.

Pinetree lies at the foot of Oliver’s Mount, an area of breathtaking natural beauty and the historic site of the Civil War battle of Roundway Down. Explore the surrounding woodland and fields, leading you to the iconic White Horse above Devizes, symbolising the charm of Wiltshire and the West Country. This holiday house offers a truly enchanting experience.

Discover the captivating local market town of Devizes, steeped in rich history and architectural delights, with over 500 listed buildings. There is a bustling Market Place at its core, don’t miss the vibrant Thursday market full of local fruit and veg. Book supper at the Black Swan, a beautiful Georgian Coaching Inn in Devizes or the George and Dragon, another old Coaching Inn, which is even closer in the village of Rowde

Devizes is just 20 miles from Bath, 16 miles from Stonehenge and 8 miles from Avebury. It is within easy distance of the beautiful Lacock village and abbey, of Bowood House and its adventure playground and the Longleat safari park. Pinetree is the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire and its surrounding areas, such as Castle Combe, Marlborough, Market Lavington, Seend, Corsham.

We are easily accessible from London and Heathrow, and just a short drive from Chippenham or Pewsey stations. Your dream getaway awaits at Pinetree Holiday Cottage.

Cycle Route

The National Cycle Network is a great way to find traffic-free routes and quiet lanes. These routes pass through Devizes: routes To London, Weybridge, Windsor, Maidenhead, Reading, Thatcham, Newbury, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Bath, Bristol and Chepstow. From Pinetree our favourite ride runs below the Wansdyke to Pewsey and then on up on to Salisbury Plain, but there are many many more.


There are many opportunities to enjoy nature in and around Devizes, from walks on Oliver's Mount to a visit to Drews Pond Wood Nature Reserve, a 15-hectare reserve which is home to wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and bats. Or a visit to Devizes and Roundway Orchard and Old Cricket Field, a small reserve with wildflowers and other wildlife along with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Hiking Route

From Pinetree and Roundway village you can walk up on to Oliver's Mount and from here you can join the Mid Wilts Way, a 68-mile walking route that takes in some of Wiltshire's finest countryside and downland areas, it runs from the village of Ham (near Inkpen) to Mere (near Warminster). Or you can join the Wessex Ridgeway which runs 136 miles from Marlborough to Lyme Regis, via the northern edge of Salisbury Plain. Of course both routes can be done in sections!


Devizes has three major visitor attractions. The tour of Wadworth Brewery, you can taste their renowned 6X ale and meet the majestic shire horses that still deliver to the town's pubs. The remarkable Caen Hill flight, a testament to Georgian engineering, with its 29 locks on the Kennet and Avon canal. And the Wiltshire Museum, illustrating the local tales of the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Sites.
